Brief
Tucked away in one of Marylebone’s most refined addresses, this sophisticated pied-à-terre called for a kitchen that would balance timeless elegance with everyday practicality. The client, a part-time city resident with a discerning eye for design, wanted a space that could serve as both a functional cooking environment and a beautifully integrated feature of the home. Our mission was to create a calm, cohesive kitchen that spoke quietly of luxury, while accommodating considered storage, an efficient layout, and the social nature of modern city living.

Design
Set within a bright yet compact footprint, the kitchen was designed as a place to gather and cook, an informal heart of the home where family and friends could congregate. The brief had a strong architectural lean, with the client inspired by the symmetry and restraint of the Georgian era. We approached the design as we would a piece of fine furniture, carefully tailored to the space, with every line and junction resolved.

At the centre sits a compact but confident island, finished in a soft, warm grey and paired with timeless chrome hardware. This became a natural focal point; used equally for preparation and impromptu conversation. Honed marble worktops were selected for their quietly luxurious feel, grounding the space with both visual weight and timeless beauty.

On the cooking wall, integrated appliances and refined cabinetry lend the space a calm, uncluttered rhythm. Full-height larder cupboards run along one wall, providing generous storage alongside a tall fridge-freezer elegantly concealed to maintain flow and balance.
